As a leadership development and career coach I have helped thousands of individuals from six continents to identify their career goals and then reach them. I have taught courses and workshops at New York University, Columbia University, and Johns Hopkins University, Hunter College, Montclair State University and Upsala College. I am a Career Management Fellow (CMF) through the Institute of Career Certification International and a six-time winner of the President’s Award for Excellence while the SVP of Quality at Lee Hecht Harrison. I received the Youth Advocate Award for my work with young people in the town where I live. I have been writing professionally for forty years as a career and leadership development consultant and youth advocate. This has included journal articles, book chapters, newspaper articles, and content for over 400 conference and client presentations about peak performance, resilience, emotionally intelligent leadership, and career excellence. I have published two novels about a female teenage activist, Dawn Mortenson, available on this website. Her story supports my youth advocacy mission to lessen the instances of sexual assault and bullying on and use of tobacco products by young people. My desire to provide very practical information to individuals who want to have a positive impact on our world is supported by this website. I have given presentations to thousands of individuals in over 400 professional presentations on these and other topics:
