DAILY POSITIVE IMPACT – GREATER GOOD SCIENCE CENTER FAVORITE BOOKS OF 2023

I have posted multiple times that The Greater Good Science Center – https://www.greatergood.berkeley.edu/ – is arguably the most impactful research-oriented site available to anybody looking for beautifully written and researched articles and resources that help individuals of any age and background to have a positive impact on themselves, those around them and the world in general.

They published today their Favorite Books of 2023 and I strongly encourage you to take a look and consider sending it to individuals or organizations that you know are interested in having a positive impact.  You do not need to mention my name as the person who sent this to you. I am not marketing me I am encouraging everybody to consider as many resources as possible because of the difficult world situation we are in at this time.

Thanks for listening and have a very positive holiday season and New Year.

I hope, through the publication of positive stories and resources, to energize readers to take their own actions to make our world a better place. HERE IS THE SCIENCE BEHIND MY APPROACH:
–Researchers at the University of Southampton  found in a study involving over 2,000 respondents that consuming  bad news can cause anxiety and an overall  bad mood.  Uplifting news, on  the other hand, motivated readers to make a positive impact.
–Stephen Post of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine found that when we give of ourselves, everything from life satisfaction to self-realization and physical health is significantly improved. Mortality is delayed, depression is reduced and well-being and good fortune are increased.
–In the 2016 article, “POSITIVE EMOTIONS AND WELLBEING,” by Marianna Pogosyan, Ph.D. she wrote, “The health benefits of positive emotions is well documented. They improve physical health. With frequent experience and expression of positive emotions comes resilience and resourcefulness.”
